Nel disco l’artista irlandese riprende sonorità già presenti nel precedente How about I be me, and you?, privilegiando così sonorità pop rock, pur mescolando tuttavia dolcezza e aggressività, malinconia e gioia.
Disco nel complesso molto scorrevole e solo a tratti un po’ monotono, con brani in prevalenza superiori alla sufficienza. Tra di essi spiccano, a nostro avviso: How about I be me ed 8 good reasons, seguiti da The Vishnu Room, Harbour, Take me to church e Your green jacket. Menzione speciale per l’etnica James Brown, la country Little story e la delicatissima Streetcars.
